INSIGHTS ON PBS HAWAI‘I Too Big An Ask?

For the past several years, the problems of O‘ahu’s Emergency Medical Services have been widely reported: EMT sick-outs due to 14 and 16 hour days with no relief in sight; and an aging fleet of ambulances needing constant repair. Each day, there are more than a million residents, visitors and military personnel on O‘ahu. EMS has only 20 ambulance units available at any given time. Is that enough? We’ll hear from the head of O‘ahu’s EMS, a doctor who works in Hawai‘i’s busiest ER, and others. PBS Hawaii; Thursday, June 8, 2017
