Eligibility
Contest is open to active or retired dues-paying United Public Workers (UPW) members in good standing. Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
How to Enter
There are two methods of entry. For the online method of entry, follow UPW on Facebook or Instagram and like and share the official contest post to earn one entry per day. For the alternative method of entry, complete the prize entry form at a UPW office on your island (Oahu, Maui, Kauai, or Hilo) to earn an additional entry for the daily prize. Participants may enter once daily through either method.
Entries and Grand Prize
Each daily entry automatically counts as an entry for the Grand Prize, drawn at the conclusion of the contest. Participants may submit one online and one in-person entry per day for a maximum of two entries per day toward the grand prize.
Contest Period
The contest begins on December 1, 2024, and ends on December 24, 2024, with a new daily prize announced each day. The Grand Prize winner will be announced on or about December 25, 2024.
Prizes
- Daily Prizes: One winner will be randomly selected each day from all eligible entries for
that day.
- Grand Prize: One winner will be randomly selected from all entries collected throughout
the contest period.
Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via the social media platform they used to enter or by phone/email for in-person entries. Winners must respond within 48 hours of notification to claim their prize. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture, and a new winner will be selected.
Addinational Rules
- Participants must have an active UPW membership or show proof of retired
membership in good standing to claim prizes.
- Entries must comply with the platform’s terms of service (e.g., Facebook or Instagram
guidelines).
- By entering, participants grant UPW permission to use their name and photo for
promotional purposes related to the contest.
- Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
